Etihad increases capacity to Heathrow

Etihad Airways is to increase capacity to London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur as well as soon starting services to Basra and Lagos.

The Etihad Airways codesharing agreement with Brussels Airlines is expanding and will now incorporate Brussels Airlines’ services to Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse. These are in addition to Brussels Airlines’ services to Barcelona, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Madrid, Oslo and Stockholm, on which Etihad Airways already codeshares.

Etihad Airways has announced a partnership with Abu Dhabi Organics Farms, the first internationally certified organic farming initiative in the UAE, to supply fresh organic produce for its inflight First Class dining menus.

Etihad Airways has commenced codesharing operations with Hainan Airlines. The landmark agreement is the Abu Dhabi-based airline’s first ever codeshare with a Chinese carrier.

Etihad Airways has increased baggage allowances for all Pearl Business class and Diamond First class guests by ten kilos.

Etihad Airways is offering one night’s free accommodation to passengers stopping over in Abu Dhabi for a minimum of two nights before December 1.

Etihad Airways has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China Eastern Airlines.

The agreement will encompass joint route and schedule coordination, codesharing between the UAE and China and in time on each other's networks, full frequent flyer reciprocity, reciprocal airport lounge access, joint product development, and technical and cargo cooperation – subject to regulatory approval.

Etihad to commence flights to Basra, Iraq

Etihad Airways will commence services to Basra in southern Iraq from mid-April. Flights will be operated four times a week, on A320 aircraft configured with Pearl Business and Coral Economy cabins.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and WAHA International, the international non-profit organisation, have teamed-up to transport disaster relief kits to Somalia.

Etihad Airways has announced that it will be launching flights to Lagos, the airline’s first destination in West Africa. The new services will commence on 1 July, subject to regulatory approvals.
