Michelin-star chef, Heston Blumenthal has unveiled the Olympic and Paralympic Games inspired menus created by rising culinary star Simon Hulstone.

Simon Hulstone has created four menus, which will be available on long-haul flights from London Heathrow from July in First, Club, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller cabins. The menus will be served by cabin crews to three million British Airways customers during the Games.

British Airways saved enough fuel to power 550 flights from Heathrow to New York last year, following the introduction of an online suggestion box for staff.

Katinka van Ekeren has been announced as the successor to Robert Williams, as British Airways’ Commercial Manager Benelux.
 
Katinka van Ekeren has been working with British Airways for 17 years, during which time she has gained valuable expertise throughout various departments of the airline. “Within the framework of my new role of Commercial Manager Benelux, I will be able to leverage the experience I have gained over the years in order to meet the new challenges that await me” said van Ekeren.

Iberia and British Airways are continuing to strengthen their union, with new flights and travel options. The latest addition is a new code share arrangement on both airlines' routes to Argentina.

British Airways to up frequencies to Brussels

British Airways is to increase the number of frequencies on its London Heathrow – Brussels Airport route, to up to seven flights a day. The additional flights are to be introduced as from the airline’s summer 2012 schedule.

BA Launches Heathrow – Paris Orly flights

British Airways is to start 12 services a week between Heathrow and Paris Orly to complement its flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle. The Orly flights will begin on January 10, 2011.

Shareholders of British Airways and Iberia have voted in favour of a merger between the two airlines. It is intended that the new company, International Airlines Group, will begin operations around January 21, 2011.
